About the Author
ZHANG Leisheng is a professor and doctoral supervisor of the School of Marxism, Renmin University of China. His research direction is Marxist economic thought, basic principles of Marxism, etc. He is the author of Seeking Independence, Equality and Development, The Social Contradictions of Capitalism and Its Historical Trend, The Economic Development of Developing Countries, The History and Reality of Marx’s Labor Theory of Value, and Why Adhere to Marxism, etc. He has published more than 200 papers. Presided over and completed a number of national and provincial projects. His scientific research achievements have won many national, provincial and ministerial awards.
WU Jingmin, senior editor, master of economics. In 1986, he graduated from the Department of Political Economy, Renmin University of China. Since 1996, he has been engaged in the editing and publishing of academic journals, and is now deputy editor of Journal of Renmin University of China. His main social part-time jobs are: vice president and secretary general of the National Marxist-Leninist Economic Theory History Society, executive director of the Chinese Journal Association, and consultant of the National College Liberal Arts Journal Research Association. He has participated in the writing of European Market Organization, State-owned Economy Theory, The Way of Universities and Journals, and The Way to Enhance the International Influence of Academic Journals, etc.

The problem of socialism theory and practice is a big topic which is now still developing. Based on the theoretical exploration and analysis of the practice of Marxist scientific socialism theory in the world, this book highlights the innovation of Marxist scientific socialism theory by socialism with Chinese characteristics, and reflects the unity of Marxist scientific socialism theory logic and the historical logic of Chinese social development.
