About the Author
Wang Jun is a professor at the School of Public Administration and Policy, Renmin University of China. He is the director of Center for Health Policy Research and Evaluation and Interdisciplinary Platform for Hospital Reform and Development, Renmin University of China. He is a visiting professor at Yale University, Harvard University, Sciences Po, University of Birmingham, and Chinese University of Hong Kong. Professor Wang Jun serves as the vice chairman of the Health Insurance Professional Committee of the Chinese Preventive Medicine Association, and director of the Chinese Finance Association. He is an expert of the State Council Ministry of Finance and National Health Commission of China, and has been engaged in the evaluation of “12th Five-Year” and “13th Five- Year” Medical Reform Planning. Meanwhile, he is a senior expert of international organizations, including the WHO World Bank, UNICEF, ADB, and French Embassy in China. Professor Wang Jun has long been engaged in the research fields of health economy, health management, and health policy. He is leading a team on health reform and aging. He has submitted over 100 policy reports to the State Council, the National Health Commission, the Ministry of Finance, the National Development and Reform Commission, and other relevant central and local departments. He has published over 100 papers on peer-reviewed journals and 10 books on health care system and health reform.
Cao Qi is Associate Professor in School of Public Administration and Policy, Renmin University of China. She is currently serving as the Deputy Director of the Human Resource Development and Management Research Center at Renmin University of China, a research fellow of the Health Policy Research and Evaluation Center at Renmin University of China and Health Reform and Development Center at Renmin University of China. She is a reviewer for Journal of Service Science and Management (JSSM) and Journal of Health Organization and Management, She obtained the B.S. in economics and M.S. degrees in Public Administration from China Agricultural University and Renmin University of China in 2007 and 2009, respectively, She also holds a M.S. degree in Management from the University of London, London, U.K. She received her Ph.D. degree at the School of Public Administration, Renmin University of China. During her Ph.D. study, she also completed a research fellowship program at Department of Health Policy and Management, Bloomberg School of Public Health, Johns Hopkins University. She has been focusing on studies about health care reform, health policy evaluation, governance of health service delivery system and health insurance, She is the author of over 20 scientific journal articles and two monographs. She is also the PI of National Social Science Fund Project.
