The 76th<\/sup>\u00a0Frankfurt Book Fair opened\u00a0in Frankfurt, Germany on the evening of 15th<\/sup>\u00a0October 2024. The delegation of China Renmin University Press visited\u00a0the\u00a0book\u00a0fair and carried out events, trade negotiations and exchanges with publishers from Germany, Britain, the United States, Chile, Egypt and other countries and regions.<\/p>\n

On the afternoon of the 16th<\/sup>, local time, China Renmin University Press and Taylor & Francis Group held a\u00a0joint book release for the English version\u00a0of C<\/i><\/em>hinese Civil Adjudications<\/i><\/em>. Jeremy North, President, Global Book Business\u00a0of Taylor & Francis, Editor-in-Chief Xie Fusheng and Vice General Manager Guo Xiaoming of China Renmin University Press unveiled the new book together.\u00a0After the book release, the two sides had in-depth discussions on integrated publishing and the impact of AI\u00a0on publishing, and further reached a consensus on the dissemination of quality academic works of China. Editor-in-Chief Xie Fusheng briefly introduced the major\u00a0business projects\u00a0China Renmin University Press recently undertook, and expressed his hope\u00a0of further expanding and jointly discussing the content of future cooperation with Taylor & Francis.<\/p>\n

On the morning of the 17th<\/sup>, local time, the delegation went to the headquarters of Springer Nature in Heidelberg, Germany for a business visit, and jointly held a book release for the English version of Humanistic Foundation of Criminal Law<\/em> with Springer Nature. Editor-in-Chief Xie Fusheng, Vice General Manager Guo Xiaoming and the delegation, together with Christina Bryan, Vice President of Business, Economics, Politics, and Law, Brigitte Reschke, Executive Editor, and Leana Li, Regional Director of Books China, Springer Nature, unveiled the new book together. After the Book Release, the two sides had an in-depth discussion on the current cooperation projects, exchanged views on and planned for future cooperation, and reached a consensus on the shared vision of deepening long-term strategic partnership, promoting the international dissemination of China’s academic achievements, and providing the world with China’s solutions.<\/p>\n

During the book fair, the delegation of China Renmin University Press met with important partners. Editor-in-Chief Xie Fusheng, Deputy General Manager Guo Xiaoming and other delegation members met with Ruth Cunney, Head of Global Rights Licensing and Lucy Petermark, Senior Rights Manager of Pearson Education, at the booth of Pearson.<\/p>\n

Members of the delegation also held talks with Chilean copyright agencies and Egyptian publishing partners on copyright trade and cooperation. The parties reached agreements to work together on relevant issues.<\/p>\n

From the 19th<\/sup> to the 22nd<\/sup> of October, the delegation participated in the International Publishing Exchange in Paris. The exchange aimed to bring Chinese publishers to a deeper understanding of the latest developments in the publishing industry in Europe and the United States, and to explore the far-reaching impact of AI and other emerging technologies on the publishing industry.<\/p>\n

At the same time, the delegation also visited local bookstores and publishing organizations to conduct research on the \u201cgoing global\u201d of Chinese books and the international dissemination of Chinese culture.<\/p>\n
