<\/p>\nOn January 8, 2025, the inauguration ceremony of the International Joint Research Center for Low Altitude Economy and Space Economy\u00a0of Renmin University of China (RUC) and the launch of the \u201cLibrary of Studies on New Quality Productive Forces\u201d\u00a0were held\u00a0in Beijing. The events\u00a0were\u00a0hosted by RUC and co-organized by the Academy of\u00a0Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism\u00a0with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era\u00a0of RUC,\u00a0the New Quality Productive Forces Research Center\u00a0of RUC, and China Renmin University Press.<\/p>\n

Zhang Donggang,\u00a0Chairperson of the University Council of RUC, attended the event and delivered a speech. Also present were Yang Mengfei, Member of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and chief designer of Chang’e\u00a05, Fan Yijiang, Deputy Director of the Institute of Comprehensive Transportation of the National Development and Reform Commission, Cheng Chengqi, member of the National Air Traffic Control Expert Advisory Committee and professor at the College\u00a0of Engineering of Peking University, Fan Ying, Dean of the School of Economics and Management of Beihang\u00a0University, Li Zhan, Vice Director of Suzhou Municipal Development and Reform Commission, and other senior scientists, representatives of competent research institutes, experts, scholars and practical pioneers in the field of low altitude economy and space economy; Li Shantong, researcher of Development Strategy and Regional Economy Research Department of Development Research Center of the State Council,\u00a0Liu Quanhong, Director of the Institute of Industrial Economy and Technological Economy of the Academy of Macroeconomic Research,\u00a0Sui Jigang, Deputy Director of the Institute of Innovative Development Policy of the Institute of Science and Development,\u00a0Chinese Academy of Sciences, and other senior experts in new quality productive forces; as well as\u00a0representatives of the business community and academics in low altitude economy and space economy.<\/p>\n

Zhang Donggang pointed out that the concept of new quality productive forces is a key\u00a0scientific concept creatively put forward by General Secretary Xi Jinping with a view to the overall situation of Chinese modernization strategy. The establishment of the International Joint Research Center for Low Altitude Economy and Space Economy by Renmin University of China and the release of the\u201cLibrary of Studies on New Quality Productive Forces\u201d are not only our\u00a0responsibility and mission in the in-depth\u00a0study and implementation of\u00a0the spirit of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee,\u00a0and in grasping the new opportunities of technological revolution in history;\u00a0but also called for by the development and reform in\u00a0promoting the construction of modernized industrial system and fostering new quality productive forces. Renmin University of China is willing to work together with all parties to move towards \u201cnewness\u201d and \u201cpracticality\u201d, to build a thriving and robust\u00a0research center, to continue to empower and boost\u00a0the development of emerging economic forms represented by low-altitude economy and space economy, and to contribute wisdom and strength to the promotion of Chinese modernization with the development of new quality productive forces.<\/p>\n

Li Yongqiang, Chair of the Press Council and Chairman of the Board, China Renmin University Press, presided over the launch of\u00a0the \u201cLibrary of Studies on New Quality Productive Forces\u201d. He introduced the Library\u00a0and members\u00a0of the Editorial Board, and issued a call for authors nationwide to contribute.<\/p>\n

The \u201cLibrary of Studies on New Quality Productive Forces\u201d\u00a0is jointly planned by China Renmin University Press and the New Quality Productive Forces Research Center.\u00a0They\u00a0have invited well-known experts and scholars from the \u201cfive armies\u201d of philosophy and social sciences to form an editorial board, who are responsible for collecting, evaluating and recommending topics, aiming\u00a0to build a top academic platform for China’s research on new quality productive forces. The Library will give full play to the leading role of excellent research results and talents, always maintain a keen insight into cutting-edge issues and academic leadership, keep\u00a0launching\u00a0a series\u00a0of masterpieces\u00a0characterizing\u00a0topic selection\u00a0with vision, content\u00a0of\u00a0high\u00a0quality and great social impact, and select outstanding\u00a0works for multilingual copyright export and overseas distribution, so as to contribute to the development of new quality productive forces, and the promotion of\u00a0high-quality development and Chinese modernization.<\/p>\n

Zheng Xinye releasing New Quality Productive Forces<\/i><\/em>, first and major work of the Library.<\/p>\n New Quality Productive Forces<\/i><\/em>\u00a0emphasizes the theoretical, contemporary and practical aspects, aims\u00a0to thoroughly study and implement General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important discourses\u00a0on the development of new quality productive forces, and is\u00a0devoted\u00a0to in-depth research and interpretation of the significance and scientific connotations of new quality productive forces, so as to accelerate the construction of China’s own knowledge system of economics.<\/p>\n Li Shantong congratulated the release of the \u201cLibrary of Studies on New Quality Productive Forces\u201d. She said that the development of new quality productive forces\u00a0is the inherent requirement and important focal\u00a0point of high-quality development, and\u00a0in\u00a0New Quality Productive Forces<\/i><\/em>, the author makes a systematic and comprehensive compilation of new quality productive forces, summarizes the basic facts of their\u00a0development, and puts forward the policy paths to cultivating\u00a0new quality productive forces.
