On December 21, 2024, the fifth anniversary of the establishment of the Research Centre for Historical Politics of Renmin University of China, the award ceremony of the First Chenghai Award for Research in Historical Politics, and the publication seminar on\u00a0the first batch of the \u201cSeries on Independent Knowledge System of Historical Politics and Chinese Political Science\u201d were held in Renmin University of China. Renowned scholars from dozens of institutions at home and abroad including\u00a0Harvard University, Peking University, Tsinghua University, and Renmin University of China jointly discussed the promotion of the research on historical politics and the construction of China\u2019s independent knowledge system of political science.<\/p>\n

The event also included the launch ceremony of the first batch of the \u201cSeries on Independent Knowledge System of Historical Politics and Chinese Political Science\u201d. The ceremony was hosted by Professor Ren Feng of the School of International Studies of Renmin University of China. Professor Yang Guangbin, Dean of the School of International Studies of Renmin University of China and President of the Chenghai Institute of Global Development and Security, together with Professor Xie Fusheng, Editor-in-Chief of China Renmin University Press, and Guo Xiaoming, Vice General Manager of China Renmin University Press, jointly launched the book series.<\/p>\n

The first batch of the \u201cSeries on Independent Knowledge System of Historical Politics and Chinese Political Science\u201d include five titles: Professor Yang Guangbin\u2019s Historical Politics: Paradigm Revolution in Chinese Political Science<\/em>\u00a0and The Concept of Politics: Epistemology Principles of Historical Politics<\/em>, Professor Yao Zhongqiu\u2019s The Nation Valu<\/em>ing<\/em>\u00a0Culture and Education: Historical Politics of the Chinese State Form<\/em>, Professor Ren Feng\u2019s Republican Statehood and New Theory of Governance: A Study of Qian Mu\u2019s Historical Politics<\/em>, and Huang Tao\u2019s The Socio-Political Origins of the Zhou-Qin Transformation: From the Emperor-Dukes State to the Monarchical Bureaucracy State<\/em>. These books respectively discuss the paradigm revolution in the perspective of historical politics, the principles of epistemology, and the study of state form, aiming to make positive contributions to the construction of the independent knowledge system of Chinese political science.<\/p>\n
